ACF Church is a growing gathering of the churched, un-churched and de-churched, located in Eagle River, Alaska.
Eagle River is a community of 35,000 composed of many young families and military personnel who work on JBER (Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson), which is 6 miles from ACF Church in Anchorage, which has a population of over 300,000.
ACF Church has grown exponentially from 35 people in 2009 to currently seeing 1,200
on a weekly basis.
Our demographic is primarily people between the ages of 20 and 40 years old with 70-80% current or ex-military and a large number of babies, children and teens.
THE VISION:
Help our online audience to become known and to take their next step remotely.
Encourage people who are considering ACF church or Christianity to want to come to church or a group in person if they are physically able.
Include ACF family members who cannot make it to church in person so that they still feel like they are part of the family.
Develop teams, systems, and protocols to help ACF plant multiple locations by leveraging video and streaming technologies.
THE EXPECTATIONS:
Have an active relationship with Jesus Excel at building teams and training volunteers to operate at the highest level.
Have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a developed sense of timing and aesthetics.
Be comfortable and confident working with the latest and greatest technology in the areas of live video, online streaming, lighting, multicampus church, etc.
Enjoy researching and developing new skills as it pertains to church video production and ministry.
Have strong communication, conflict resolution skills and be relationship-oriented.
Enjoy event planning and thrive at project management.
Have a heart for discipleship.
This person will care deeply for our online community as well develop and build leaders around them.
Job Description:
This individual's primary role is to ensure that our services are livestreamed and presented online to the highest quality possible.
They would work closely with our worship leader, production director, and pastoral staff to plan our weekly services, listening for how our in-person ideas will affect our online content and creating solutions that help people connect in person and online.
This individual would also be responsible for growing our video team's capabilities.
This would involve both a substantial knowledge of video and streaming equipment, as well as strong leadership and people skills to inspire and grow this team.
The goal is for our online audience to feel like they are here with us, as fully engaged members of our church.
Minimizing distractions due to poor camera work, awkward transitions, sloppy graphics/text, or rough sound mixing would be major responsibilities for this person, as well as developing digital spaces for our online family that give them the ability to participate in church where they are at.
Lastly, this individual would play a key part in the development of more ACF locations by creating the systems and tools to deliver video content to these other locations for their services, whether streamed or pre-recorded.
AND THIS TOO:
Having substantial experience (4
years) in either church, TV, or film production is preferred.
A commitment and loyalty to the mission of the local church is a must.
Be experienced working with and leading volunteer teams.
Experienced with YouTube and other digital platforms.
THE CHERRY ON TOP:
Equally happy working with people, or with computers.
Enjoys living in Alaska and embracing the lifestyle of the Last Frontier.
Can be a master planner and improv wizard as the situation requires.
Stays calm under stress.
Knows how to solve any technical issue, but has the wisdom to know when not to get lost in the weeds.
